If there is somebody who has created an easy button for business, that person should be the richest man in the whole world. However, there is none for the reason that it is merely impossible.
All of the included things in your business should be known by you. From detail to detail, there might be a day that every person you’ve hired or every technology you’ve relied on may fail. That is why upon running your business, you should take a look at the primary details from how it runs to how it works.

In this episode, I’m going to break down why there is no easy button when it comes to building your business and there never will be. Stay tuned.
Hey guys, this episode is something that inspired me last week. I’ve been doing a few coaching calls with members, potential elite members and managing the students in our MPP program. And I find that there’s a bit of a common theme that’s coming up. Which I understand exactly why it’s there, but it is something that I think we need to discuss. And that is, as much as we want there to be an easy button as we’re running our business. As much as we want to pay someone money to give us all of the templates, the exact road map, plug and place things for us to be using to build and grow our own business. It just, quite frankly, does not exist, will not exist. And if anyone says that it is something that they sell you, that is absolutely incorrect and I would run as far away from that person as humanly possible. Because that is not working with integrity. If that was possible, if there was someone who would legitimately have created a plug and play business in a box that served everyone’s needs all the time, that person would be a trillionaire. More than Jeff Bezos because everyone would be using that strategy. And the reason why that doesn’t exist, it’s because it’s impossible. And that’s why I want to have a discussion on this today.
I have tried to do that with so many horses that I have purchased and spent tens of thousands of dollars to be a part of. And they give you the templates, which makes it seem so easy and you just plug and play the templates and then you are like ‘why am I not getting the results that these people did. Isn’t that why they’re giving me these templates?’ So when I’ve had these calls with people who are interested in what the MPP program offers; well, there’s aspects of the maximized practitioner program where we do offer things that we say and how we say them in our dialogues there’s our elite level membership, where you’d actually be mentored by me and it certainly teach you how to be a CEO, and manage a team, and go through the exact same meeting strategy that we do. But when it comes down to it, there’s absolutely no script that I could give to anyone that I work with. Even for free as an elite magnet, to be like ‘this is all that you need to do and say plug and play. Give it to your people, you use it with your patients.’ Even with our elite members, we created just about everything for them except for the copy. Because again, your people can tell very quickly if the language is coming from you or somebody else completely. They can tell if that language is coming from your emotion, your language, your personality very quickly versus something that is cut and pasted. And so as much as I would love to say, the programs that you are in right now, the mentorship that you are getting right now, even if you work with our team and we have great results. The number one thing you always have to be aware of is as much as those templates exist, as much as you want it to be a quick plug and play sort of approach, it just does not exist. And some of the best advice that I’ve heard mentors give is, nor should you be hiring people to completely do all of the work for you without you even knowing how to run it yourself.
So with our elite level members, we set up the tech, we set up the emails, we set up all of that piece up. We make it all link together, but we are still having them very much part of the game, part of knowing what those pieces mean. What they break, which happens all the time, you don’t have time to be waiting for someone to go in and learn how to fix it, you need to do it on the fly. And so, even if you are hiring someone to do your social media post to create your email sequences, to write things for you, to build your website. You still need to, as a maximized practitioner, learn how to run all of those things; doesn’t mean that you have to but there will come a time where tech will shut down. And it is vitally important and probably one of your biggest responsibilities to know everything from the ground up. I was just doing reception yesterday in the Caledonia office and I loved what one of my followers posted being like ‘I love a CEO that isn’t afraid to get dirty.’ I am not too big to go in and run reception if it’s going to help my team. And the best part of our systems is I built them from scratch. I am still on them every single week trying to improve them, trying to make them better, trying to simplify them, trying to do all these things. So for me to show up and do reception, I just picked up as if I’ve been doing it for weeks. And if you can go into your email system, if you can go into your pack, if you can go into all these places and just be like ‘ok I know exactly what failed. I know exactly what I need to fix etc.’ your ability to move fast and to grow fast and to scale fast is way bigger than someone who pays a lot of money to someone to build these things out; to write these templates, to write these scripts and it’s totally hand off. And you have no idea how to implement them, what’s even going, what the conversion is looking like all of those things.
So I just wanted to come on very briefly and say as much as I wish there’s a program put there that was perfectly designed for you and your business and your people that spoke in you language, that spoke the way your people are going to connect to you; including my own. I wish that I could, I wish that I could be so boastful and say ‘ours is the only program that does that.’ What I’m encouraging you to do is make your investment wisely, understand who you are working with, and don’t relinquish all of your power. Your business is your biggest asset and you can’t just let people just run amok with it. Same reason why I’ve still yet to hire Facebook Ads manager, because I don’t understand the language enough, I don’t understand what I want the outcomes to be well enough. To start paying someone a couple K a month plus Facebook Ads to run all these things for me and I’m just hoping and praying that everything is going ok. It is not the way to grow a six figure practice. And I could even go so far as to say being an independent contractor in somebody else’s business, while it seems easy you just have to show up do your thing, leave, and they take care of the rest; they take care of the bills, they take care of the overhead, and all you have to do is pay your rentals. But I still take full control over as much of my practice working in somebody else’s business. I will never relinquish that control to anybody, I will never let them mark it on my behalf because that isn’t how I would speak, and that isn’t how I would attract people, that isn’t what my people are expecting.
So it’s the same for you, so if you’re looking for the easy way out then I don’t think you are approaching your business the way a maximized practitioner would. If you’re looking for guidance, if you’re looking for support, if you’re willing to learn, if you want to go faster and have somebody else build it. But then you follow along and see the steps and learn how it actually works. That’s a totally different conversation. But to just completely relinquish any part of your business control to people because you rather paid a lot for it, or because you just don’t have the time and you don’t ever want to learn it is not the right place to be. And I find with those people, eventually it will come back to haunt you. And there will be a time where things break down, and you are at a loss and you can lose time very quickly. I mean frig, the month is almost over and I feel like it just got started. And I’m sure you could reflect the same way; all of the sudden a year is over and one of you got to show for it.
So there is no business made easy button, and nor should there be, you need to know every single piece of every single cog that is in your business. How it runs doesn’t mean you need to manage it, doesn’t mean you need to be the person to maintain it or create it. But you do need to know how it runs. And I still work with my team daily to manage it, to make it better, to stay on top of everything. And I get updates every single day from both of my team members telling me exactly what happened that day. So I can just plunk myself in at any point in time into either practice and just pick up where it left off, and it’s totally seamless. And because of that we’ve also been able to create our standard operating procedures for anybody else new to come in, to learn our standard operating procedures and they’re on board right away. But I had to create it, nobody else could do that for me.
So I encourage you to think about that as you move through the year, as you want to invest in programs, as you want to ask for support is to do the support, do the things that fast track you. Our elite level members are 2 years ahead of where they would be, had they not started to work with us. But we also make it our premise and part of our delivery system to make sure that they know how everything works together. And so they understand that when things start to fall apart, exactly what to do. And we do video training and all of that; we have templates, we have all of those things that you can use as inspiration but we will not write anything for anyone. Your language, your messaging is the most important asset that you have with your business and nobody else can do that for you and no one else can teach your team how to be that asset on your behalf as well.
